I have always been a morning person. Waking up isn't that much of a chore for me, and I am a pretty light sleeper. Tiffanie, on the other hand, is one of the sleep-lovingest people I have ever known. Getting her up is like trying to take off those security stickers on a new dvd- very hard and time consuming. She has been trying to have more time in the morning to get ready, so I have been lovingly turning the lights on at 6:30 am to help her out a bit. This morning she got up after I turned on the lights, so I figured I would make the bed. It turned out that she simply needed to use the restroom, so she got back in bed after I was a little bit into making it. So, I just made the bed with her in it. She got up shortly after.

I wasn't done sleeping.
Oh oh - one point where you don't see eye to eye. Rand use to be more of a sleeper in the mornings. Now (especially on vacation) he gets up at 5:00 - 5:30 so he won't waste the day. What is up with that? I'm usually an early bird - but on vacation I like to sleep in a bit. Sometimes it's hard to get synchronized. Making her into the bed is too funny. (Not as, I suspect, to Tiffany.)
you guys are so much like kent and I. I am such a non morning person. My mission nearly did me in. I would get up every morning on time but I had several companions tell me (after we weren't comps anymore) that they didn't dare talk to me for at least 60 minutes after I woke up. If I am aroused earlier than I feel like getting up, I am mr. cranky nasty pants.

Did you just refer to yourself as a MR.?
That's way funny! I think you're lucky that you still have the newlywed love. In a couple years I'm pretty sure that "lovingly" turning on the lights will be followed by a severe kick to the crotch.
That is way funny!! Brent is pretty good at sleeping in but Melynda takes it to a whole other level. We don't call her before 11 on her days off.
Funny post and comments! I wouldn't know what to do if Gary made the bed. I can't get past that part. Weird.
6:30 is EARLY. Leisy, I think you may have disliked my MTC comp as much as I did. She would get up and INSTANTLY say "Hi! and How are you!" in her happiest voice ever. I'm pretty sure I just scowled at her every day of every morning she asked me. She never caught on.
Some of my most scary moments as a mother have been when Mia's woken me or Luke up. It's not pretty.
I'm impressed that Tiffany is still asleep in the made bed. I would have definitely been kicked in the crotch and cursed a bit had I tried that little trick. She was probably swearing into the pillow as you "lovingly" made the bed over her.
WE NEED OUR SLEEP!
Melynda
I love reading this post! Jed is always awake before me and if I can sleep past his LOUD nose blowing and farting then it's a good morning.
Every comment I read is making me laugh! At the wedding lunch I heard of all those stories of Tiffanie being a deep sleeper and i was wondering if she still is and ow you get her up. If you let her sleep in how long do you think she'll be asleep?
That is a question we don't ever want to find out, Maddie. It could be days before she woke up on her own.
I like Tiffanie already! Michael always tells people that they should talk to me before 10 am or they might get yelled at. It's true. Waking up is a long and painful process for me. Well, I think I need a nap now.
Sorry - that was SHOULDN'T talk to me before 10 am. Told you I need a nap.
