Mount Timpanogos!!

It finally happened! I had never hiked Timp until last week. Why? I don't know. It is one of the best hikes I have every done. Trent and I went there since I had the day off and it was so fun! There are waterfalls everywhere, The scenery is beautiful, and at the top there were a herd of mountain goats!! It was so cool- they were up in the cliffs way above us jumping around- it was crazy.

first cool waterfall:

second awesome waterfall: (We went right under this one and the mist was so nice)

One thing that is not missing in this picture: homosexual standing.

This is the EMS shack up at the glacier. It's been there since the 50's.

This is in the middle of the little lake at the glacier. There were tons of flowers.

Look at this herd of mountain goats! It was scary- the group of them were blocking the trail on the way down, so Trent and I decided to just walk through with rocks in hand, just in case.

This goat stiffened up and stared at us the whole time we walked past them. It was scary. He was huge!

My shoes after the hike were wasted. Ain't no sissy hikin goin on with us.

The one time I did the hike we started at night and made it up to watch the sun rise! It was a really cool hike and I was surprised I had never done it. I want to go again. Which side did you go up? - Kent

I spent a long night in the EMT shack one summer night when I was in high school. I don't know why my friend, Craig Crandall and I decided to climb Timp, but we did and it snowed that night. We ended up almost hypothermiating on the way down. Ahhh, memories.

Wow, Zac - I mean WOW!! I swore up and down that I would NEVER hike (even just the regular trail) of Timp again - because it was just too dang much! haha. Those pictures are breathtaking ... and I seriously am in awe with your bravery to walk through a herd of mountain goats.

That looks extremely beautiful. I really want to take the kids to Timpanogos Cave before the summer's over, but they don't allow strollers and I don't know how much we'd enjoy carrying Oliver most of the way. Probably not very much. Anyway, good job on the hike - you're awesome.

I very much enjoyed the homosexual standing, too.
