My First Sale!!

I have to admit to you all that this selling stuff is much more challenging than I imagined it to be... today I knocked around 100 doors- many not home, many that say 'not interested' (just like mom would), and then there was one man, a man that I will not forget, for he bought pest control. Hahahaha... I am just getting into the flow of it all- the first day was hard and I was pretty nervous and oblivious on what I should say, but today I was a lot more relaxed and the vibes were a lot better. When I say I 'just got one sale' it seems pretty crappy, but with that contract I will make 150 bones! That puts my hour wage at about $25 for today, and I suppose I will be able to sell a lot more come bug season (it is pretty much all prevention treatment right now)... so I hope I survive and do well this summer!! Please pray for pestilence in Chicago!! hahahaha... well, just pray for me that I can do well over this summer! I want it to be worth leaving Tiffanie for so long... I miss the girl. .... and all of the rest of you, of course.

I'm glad to hear you made a sale. Excellent. I hope it gets easier than one in hundred. That could get old in a hurry. Once you get your sales pitch down I'm sure you'll do well. We will pray for you.

What kind of neighborhood are you in? Is it middleclass, slums, what? How do you determine your territory? What is the normal sales calls to sales ratio?

WE MISS YOU!

Hooray!! A SALE!!! This is just the beginning. You are going to do so great over the summer. Just tell them what a big deal you are, I mean, people know you! Just look at all of these people leaving comments on your Blog. Everyone will want your pest control. And if all else fails: "Hey Bud..."

Nice job Zak. Mia misses you. She gets excited to see Zakkie, every time we go to Mom's. I'll have to show her your pics on here so she won't forget you!

I miss you too. Boo hoo. But it's good that you're making monies for the future. 2 sales a day would be a good livin'!

Good job Zak! It can't be easy going door to door. I'll have to remember you when someone comes selling something at my door. Good luck! Make mad cash.

Yeah - way to go! I'm praying for an infestation of mice, lice, snakes, spiders, rats, voles, and mighty large cockroaches. They will be so glad to see you at the door - they will bless your name. Please know that I succumb to a few salesman. I bought a pretty worthless coupon book for Papa Murphy's pizza and a few other things. If I can't bear to say no - I call in dad. You would be the kind I have a hard time saying no to. HONEST!

I like dad's questions - tell us all.

Love you - miss you.

NIIIIICE Zak.

Just last night a young salesman came to our door. It was right in the middle of dinner, Paul was working out in the garage, and Oliver was screaming to get out of his chair. Normally I would NOT be nice, but I thought of you and listened to his whole tedious financial planning presentation. Then I said no. In a nice way. He has you to thank for that. That's gotta be hard work going door to door! I believe in you!
