It all starts...

Well, my post is starting and you are all very welcome to see my life in action! I am at BYU right now studying biology, I don't really know what my career will be exactly, and I am actually a wee bit nervous about my future... only a little though. I just need some good think time to decide what it is I would REALLY like to do... whether it be dentistry, dermatology (I know you would all love that, but I am getting farther and farther from that idea), or any other medical proffesion that starts with a D. I have actually been a little interested in being a pharmaceutical rep... that may be something else I would enjoy... human resources may be good(thanks to dad)... who knows. I mean really. What do you all believe that I would be proficient in? I don't think I spelled proficient right... anywho.... how about some advice?

You are great with people and you are very smart, so I would say pretty much anything you do you will be great at. Just do something that you can love for a long, long, long time.

I don't know what you should be. Sorry.

I like your names for our blogs. Mom's meddling is my favorite.

A career choice is such a huge decision, but luckily the average person changes careers three or more times in their lives so take comfort in knowing that if you don't like the first thing you choose you can just chalk it up to experience and get something better! Just start asking random people you run into what they do for a living. I bet there is something out there you haven't even heard of that you would love.

Zak - just focus on being the best antibug salesman the world has ever known. That is a lofty goal for the time being. I bet you can earn at least $40,000 in the next three months! Wouldn't Tiffany be impressed! I'm sure this debugging knowledge will come in handy in your future medical profession. Everyone who's ever served in Mexico or South America could probably use some debugging expertise. Yeh - Debugging - good D medical position!

Clever blog, mom. Besides a bug salesman, I think Zak could do anything he wants to do. You have to do something you love and something that pays enough to let you live the american dream of big house, fancy cars, exotic vacations, etc. (just kidding), at least enough to put food on the table. Zak, you're smart enough to not have to be in HR (that only takes people smarts, which you have too) so a drug rep would be good or something that takes both people smarts and intelligence. I always wanted to be a forest ranger so I could work outside, now I spend 8 hours inside without being able to go outside at all. It's a good thing that I have the other light to get me through the day.
